Melbourne Dynamo FC First Team were defeated 2–1 by Holbrook Sports FC in a cup fixture played under lights.

The opening stages were evenly contested, with limited clear chances created by either side. In the 20th minute, Dawson was shown a yellow card following a late challenge.

Holbrook took the lead in the 23rd minute through Dylan Muir. The visitors extended their advantage before half time following a defensive error, giving them a 2–0 lead at the break.

Melbourne Dynamo improved after half time and reduced the deficit through Regan Bickerton. Despite increased pressure in the final stages, the home side were unable to find an equaliser.

Holbrook Sports FC progress to the next round of the cup with a 2–1 win.
